Otis Luxton is a furniture maker and luthier working from his studio near the medieval wool town of Lavenham. He makes enduring furniture fit for modern living, cut from the cloth of regional styles. His musical instruments combine traditional design with a radical approach, all the while championing home grown timbers across all his work.

Otis believes in creating work that adds to our sense of culture, time and place, informed by time-honoured craft and design.

Otis is mostly self-taught, also training for a time at The London College of Furniture, The Pioneer Sailing Trust, as well as working with a Joiner in East Suffolk for a number of years. He also holds a qualification in Folk & Traditional Music from Newcastle University and worked for some time in music education at Snape Maltings on the Suffolk coast.
